Busy Sunday !!!!

Hi folks,

We usually close on a sunday but are always available for rescues. Today was no different well it was i was in the river Tweed with Gayle my daughter. We received a fone call to say that an injured otter had been seen just near the chain bridge , Gattonside . Well off we went and spent a few hours paddling and as we got it on to a stoney area  and with in reach …. whooosh in comes a retriever and all goes to pot, otter gone to other side of river and ended 2and a half hours work. This otter looks to have been bitten on it’s rear  possibly by a dog as it doesnt seem to have an fear of human or dog. It’s wound needs attention, then it can be taken back to the river and released. If you happen to come across him on your walk please call us and we will try again and get him to a vet. thanks nite for now shona x

Hello, hope u are all enjoying this great weather.

Hope your sheep have all had their lambs Ian as we need you back soon….

The dogs are all under control but the cat department is over flowing with older cats and they are not children friendly.Do you need a cat to chase mice ? I have lots from 5years upwards.

We also have rabbits ; 2 males .semi friendly but one sprayed pee at rosey … she wasn’t a happy wee camper lol.

Mr Smith the pigeon is never going to leave and we are not going to try.. It’s a waste of our time and his ,he just walks back..

Last but not least this is the start of my new house..

Also the main event of the year is coming up…… I am zip sliding off the top of penialheugh tower, nr ancrum. It is 1000ft zip slide and i am terrified of heights , so if u would like to sponsor me .i will send u a form or just send the charity a chq .The monies raised are going towards vets bills, and tar plannings to fix the road. The people doing the slide with me are Rob Gray…Digitalpic [photographer], Bobby Taylor…. Radio Borders, Stephen O’Callaghan…..Buccleuch Hotel [manager], and Debbie Spence… Midlem [ debbie is doing the slide because her husband Richard spence is scared].So come on you borders people hands in pockets and help us raise a huge amount… you can even come and watch !!!!
