Today has been very special, I released a roe deer back to the wild. He was rescued in June 2008 from the Selkirk to St Boswells road.
He was the victim of a road accident, not badly injured a few cuts and bruises and damaged back legs. I spent the next few months hoping he was going to make it, every two hours he had to be fed by bottle, then he had to develop on to hard feed- sheep course mix is his favourite. Now he is growing from strength to strength and has developed his own character as well.
I will keep you all posted with his progress.
